Under the Blood
By Pastor Norma Fontaine-Philbert
FRESH BREAD: Despite who you were or what you’ve done, the grace of God is available to you. If Gehazi could stand in the presence of a king despite having been declared a leper (2 Kings 8:4), there’s no telling where the favor of God will take you.
Once you’ve made the decision to seek the forgiveness of our heavenly Father, all things are made new in your life. This means that the past no longer exists. What a liberating thought! In Romans 8:1 we read, "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit.”
So the next time the devil reminds you of your past, please remind him of his future. In the meantime, please join me in singing "Under the blood, Oh under the blood. Who from his love can sever? Under the blood my soul will abide; safely abide forever.” (William O Cushing 1896)
